Employers Always Know How To Demand More
Your early working years were another very impressionable time of your life with new employers to please. You started out by trying to establish a foothold on the employment ladder in a new world of uncertainty where it was easy to feel insignificant in comparison to the more established employees around you.

Your Employers Unconsciously Had A Profound Impact On Your Self Esteem.
In the early days of your working life everything was new to you, and you assessed your progress by trying to measure up to the expectations of those around you.In some cases those expectations may have been clearly communicated to you but in many situations you were left to make your own assessment, and in a world of uncertainty you will have been tempted to judge yourself harshly. The working environment also provides a daunting environment within which to make a significant impression, and no matter how well you performed there was always something else that demanded your employers attention. An employee that is encouraged at every turn, and is instilled with a sense of empowerment and choice develops a robust sense of self and naturally self confidence in the workplace develops as a result. The majority of employees however
Experience Judgments and Criticism
from those in power around them, and increasingly there is often an absence of job security. The structure of the working environment often delivers the judgment of not being good enough and self esteem can suffer very directly as a result. If you feel that your self confidence is limited in specific areas it will prove to be very revealing to you if you explore your working experiences to identify any powerful judgments that were made against you by employers or managers. "You must try harder" "Your work was not up to standard" "Why can't you be as good as..." You will have absorbed any statements such as these at the time as being factual and accurate, and without you noticing they will have formed part of your belief system about yourself and your value. The judgments can equally have come from your colleagues at work, and in the same way they will be lingering in your subconscious waiting to be triggered by events or circumstances in the present moment. If you were judged to be poor at dealing with other people as a young employee, I can guarantee that you lack self confidence in that subject area unless you have been able to remove the resistance and establish new empowering beliefs in their place. That is the work that I want to support you with. Increasing your awareness of your subconscious limitations and working to release the natural self confidence that lies within you.
